Is an EWMS the same as a CEMP?
No. A construction environmental management plan (CEMP) covers the whole project. An EWMS covers a specific activity, and sits under the CEMP.
Is an EWMS a legal requirement?
Usually it's a contract requirement rather than a legislated one. Government clients and head contractors commonly require one under their environmental management plan.
